I-Waiver
- It is a request to the U.S. government for permission to return to the United States after someone has been deported/removed or left after a removal order. Then the person is subject to a time bare on reentry because of a prior removal/departure.
- It is a request to forgive certain legal reasons a person is inadmissible – before they are approved, they are not allowed to get a visa, green card, or be admitted to the U.S. because of specific immigration law grounds.
- A filing used by a person who has a 2 year ‘conditional’ green card, to request a 10-year permanent green card by removing conditions. Applicants must demonstrate good-faith marriage evidence. This process waived the joint-filing requirement, based on divorce, cruelty, extreme hardship, or death of spouse.
