The Law Office of Miguel Palmeiro, LLC is an immigration-only law firm based at 3300 Fairfax Drive, Suite 222, Arlington, Virginia. We represent individuals and families in English, Spanish, and Portuguese before USCIS, the immigration courts, and the Board of Immigration Appeals. We are growing and looking for people who care about doing careful, honest work for immigrant families.

Immigration Attorney
Location: Arlington, VA office
Type: Full-time, with in-person and virtual (WebEx) court appearances
You will handle cases from the first consultation through the final decision, working with our paralegals and intake team.
What you will do
- Conduct paid initial consultations and intakes, in person and by video, and give clear, realistic case assessments
- Prepare and file affirmative and defensive applications, including asylum, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, waivers, VAWA, U visas, and naturalization
- Appear in immigration court for master, individual, and bond hearings, in person and virtually
- Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony and USCIS interviews
- Draft and file appeals and motions with the Board of Immigration Appeals, and motions to reopen or reconsider
- Communicate with clients regularly and keep case files current in our case management system
What we are looking for
- J.D. and active bar membership in good standing in any U.S. state or the District of Columbia
- Experience in removal defense and immigration court practice; BIA appeal experience preferred
- Strong legal writing, organization, and judgment under deadlines
- Commitment to the rules of professional conduct and to candid, respectful communication with clients
Immigration Paralegal
Location: Arlington, VA office
Type: Full-time
You will work directly with our attorneys to prepare complete, accurate filings and keep cases moving.
What you will do
- Prepare USCIS forms and supporting evidence packets (family-based, naturalization, humanitarian, and court filings)
- Draft declarations and organize exhibits under attorney supervision
- Track deadlines, receipts, and case status; respond to client questions within your role
- Translate and interpret documents and client communications as needed
What we are looking for
- At least one year of immigration paralegal or legal assistant experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with case management software
- Professional written and spoken Spanish strongly preferred
- Understanding that legal advice comes only from attorneys
Receptionist / Intake Coordinator
Location: Arlington, VA office
Type: Full-time
You are the first person our clients and callers meet, in person, by phone, and on WhatsApp.
What you will do
- Answer calls and messages promptly and schedule paid consultations
- Greet clients, collect intake information, and route questions to the right team member
- Follow up with new inquiries the same day
- Keep the front office organized and client information confidential
What we are looking for
- Customer service or front-desk experience; legal or medical office experience a plus
- Professional phone manner in English and Spanish
- Reliable, organized, and calm with clients who are going through a stressful time
General Office Support
Location: Arlington, VA office
Type: Full-time
Have strong skills but don’t see an exact match? We welcome applications for general office support. Depending on your experience, this may include intake, document preparation, scanning and file management, translation, scheduling, billing support, or marketing assistance.

- Support attorneys and staff wherever your skills fit best
